Pulse for Excel
Insert a Pulse saved search as a refreshable Excel table
Early access
Pulse for Excel is rolling out to organisations on request. The manifest URL becomes active once your organisation is enabled — contact support@pulseintelligence.com.
Pulse for Excel is a task-pane add-in that turns a saved search into a live table in your workbook. Pick a company or mining-asset watchlist, choose your columns, and Pulse writes the results onto a new sheet as an Excel Table. Add your own columns and formulas next to it, and refresh whenever you want the latest data — Pulse updates its rows and leaves your additions in place.
Who can use it
Any Pulse user with a paid plan can sign in and add tables. Trial users can sign in and see the pane, but the Add table button is disabled — the same export gate that applies to the web app's grid.
Supported Excel versions
- Microsoft 365 on Windows and Mac
- Excel on the web
Excel on iPad is not supported.
The task pane follows Excel's light or dark appearance automatically, switching live if you change it.
What data it uses
Pulse for Excel reads your existing saved company and mining-asset searches — the same ones you use in the Pulse web app — with whichever columns you choose in the add-in. It is read-only: the add-in never writes anything back to Pulse, and it only ever reads the columns you pick when you add a table.
Privacy
Your sign-in token stays on your device, in Excel's local add-in storage — it is never written into the workbook, so it does not travel with the file if you share it. Nothing you do in the workbook is sent back to Pulse beyond the requests needed to fetch and refresh your saved searches.
